2010 Seminar Topics & Schedule. A new part of the "Hidden" Tunnels of Fredericksburg has been found! The Property owner has agreed to allow access for Trust Members to document the area.

Recent Involvement and Activities in the Fredericksburg Region
« Idlewild preservation
« Prepared and submitted the PIF which is required by the State as a precursor
for Idlewild to be included in the Historic Register, even in its burned condition.
Virginia DHR highly complemented the submittal.
« Obtained architectural and structural engineering assessments
of the building in anticipation of stabilization and restoration.
« Researched methods to use Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits to fund restoration.
« CWPT Tree Planting project at Mullins Farm
« Review of derelict historic properties in Stafford and King George
with the goal of identifying funds to use in restoration projects.
« Public Education and Advocacy
« Published several articles on historic properties and preservation.
« Preparing list of seminars and lectures for 2005/2006.
« Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit education.
« Meetings with local neighborhood groups on historic districts, taxes credits
and preserving neighborhood character.
